Description
You are bidding on a1973 Gottlieb High Hand pinball machine
.
This pinball is a Card themed game that has drop targets for the four suits of Jack, Queen, King and Ace. Once all the drop Targets are dropped, the Special lights up and you can win a game by going down the Outlanes when lit or the Hole when lit.
T
his is a really fun game and perfect for kids.
Condition of the High Hand Pinball Machine:
Status: Operational and Fully Functional. Plays Good.
Cabinet: Average (7 out of 10) condition with many scratches, blemishes and dents.
Backbox: Average (7out of 10) condition with many scratches, blemishes and dents.
Backglass: Average (7 out of 10) condition with some paint wear and scratches.
Playfield: Average (7 out of 10) condition with wear and paint fade, plastics and playfield objects are intact.
Replay: The coin mechanism is disabled, but the pinball is set to free play.
Known Issues:
1) The Cabinet and Backbox have many scratches, blemishes and dents.
2) When a Special is lit, either the outlanes or the hole is lit and should only alternate when you hit the pop bumper. This machine alternates when you hit anything worth points.
3) This machine sometimes advances the ball to the shooter position on game end.
4) Some lights need replacing.
For you pinball novices out there, this is an electro-mechanical pinball machine which consists of switch assemblies using “blade” switches, timing and switching motors, lamps, bells, chimes, knockers, coils, sleeves, plungers, drop target assemblies, etc.
You won’t find solid state electronics or circuit boards here besides maybe some diodes and a bridge rectifier.
This means that this type of pinball needs much more maintenance than the newer solid state pinball machines and you must have realistic expectations about problems with the game because just by shipping the machine it could cause some of the switch blades to go out of alignment and cause a problem in the game.
Luckily though, an experienced pinball technician can usually fix most problems quickly and cheaply.
