I am so pleased to offer this sophisticated and quite rare solid brass king size bed surround. This was made by Wesley Allen and purchased in l985. It is a rare design ~ CB9095 PALOMAR.  Wesley Allen no longer makes Brass Beds and apparently no one else makes contemporary brass beds at all. All the brass beds I have found are antique Victorian styling and most are not solid brass at all. The price of all metals is high so mass production apparently has halted. I have not found anything like this brass bed at all. It basically is a bed surround and not an actual brass bed. The headboard, footboard and side railings enclose the bed on all sides and the bed simply sits in the middle of the brass surround. The bed has multiple pieces that fit together and are secured with screws and solid brass square screw caps. The solid brass tubes fit into holes in the square solid brass bed posts. Assembly is delicate but can be easily done with 2 skillful people.
I am unable to weigh this, so a good guess will have to do - no more than 50 lbs. Solid brass is heavy and sturdy.  It will be ready for shipment or pickup disassembled in pieces with the screw caps in a separate bag, all in one neat pile of these components.  This should not take up very much room on a shipment and is easy to handle. The bed is clear coated (with an epoxy enamel [baked on] finish, I think). There are some mostly light scratches, a few dents, and some areas that have tarnished in spite of the clear coat - due to use. Overall the bed looks good as is but may be able to be restored to its original condition by a professional. I have provided many pictures so that you can see exactly as it is.
