December 1985 --POSITIVE PRES NEWSLETTER-- Published for the EMPLOYEES of the General Motors Plant in Van Nuys (Los Angeles area), California.
This 8 page newsletter which began its publication in January, 1984 covers news intended for the employees of the plant, along with photos. Traditional information like celebrations and soon-to-be-retired employees fill the publication. The Editor's Notes are meaningful, even today. The adaptation of what was called the "Team Concept" had employees worried that this change would cause jobs to be lost, or even the closing of the plant. The Editor assures the employees that these concerns were caused by rumors, not information! Last paragraph in last photo says it all!! Unfortunately, as we know,  this local plant that opened in 1947 did eventually close in 1992.  Remaining in LIKE NEW condition, this rare piece of GM history would make an interesting addition for historians of auto making in Los Angeles!
