Esterbrook Fountain Pen Nib, "Renew-Point" made of Solid Durachrome
Fits in Esterbrook fountain pens:
Most vintage pens, for example V-Clip, Dollar, Transitional, J, SJ, LJ, M2, Safari, Desk Pens, etc.
With an adapter, even fits in modern Esterbrook pens.
Simply screw the nib into the pen by hand, finger-tight.  Takes less than 30 seconds to change out nibs.
How Does It Write?:
See writing samples in photos to see how the writing will look using this nib.
1.0 mm wide nib that is also a "Left Foot" Oblique (tip looks like your left foot, with your big toe on the right, and the remaining toes progressively shorter to the left)
The oblique angle allows a right-handed person naturally rotate their hand/arm counter-clockwise and tilt the pen somewhat towards their body.  With a typical nib, this action could result in the right tine not always touching the paper, and thus the pen would skip (ink would not flow).  With this oblique nib, however, the pen will still write correctly (both tines will be in contact with the paper).
A stub nib is a "fancy" nib for writing with distinctive line variations.
Stub nibs accentuate ink that have good shading properties.
Line from this stub nib will be
wider
than the general writing nib when the line is
vertical
, but will be more
narrow
when the line is
horizontal
. See photo with writing sample -- easiest to discern difference looking at the first writing sample's lower right corner with the "picket fence."  The swirling loops also make the line variation very obvious.  Note, line width variation is NOT due to added pressure on the nib (as done with a flex nib).
