    Description

    Here's a circa 1939 ESTERBROOK DOLLAR PEN in black. The pen is just under 4-7/8" long. It has chrome trim and a pierced clip with a circular end that folds over the top of the cap and is crimped into the top. The circular area is imprinted with a script ESTERBROOK mark. This clip varies from earlier clips in that the sides are straight with no inward cut as on previous models. There is also a ridge line that runs down the center of the clip from the base of the lower cutout to the bottom of the clip. Aside from a noticeable 1/8" gouge or abrasion directly below the clip near the cap band (4th photo), the plastic appears flawless On the barrel, it has the standard 2 line script ESTERBROOK mark and MADE IN USA. The pen is a lever filler and readily takes up ink. The nib is a DURA-CHROME 1550 extra fine in excellent condition
